The 25% night premium
By law, work between 22:00 and 05:00 pays at least 25% more than the base rate. A konbini night shift at ¥1,200/hour must pay ¥1,500 during those hours — enter your night hours separately above to see the difference. More detail in how much part-time jobs pay in Japan.
The 28-hour student limit
Student-visa holders with a 資格外活動許可 may work up to 28 hours per week (40 during official school vacations). The calculator flags you when your total crosses 28. Working over the cap is unauthorised work and can affect your visa — see the 28-hour rule explained.
